Hi, I’m Paige.

As a coach, I’ve helped burnt out, stressed out people move from feeling stuck to feeling lit up about their life path.

But before I started coaching other people, I had to coach myself first.

When I got my dream job working in corporate sustainability, I thought I had made it!

I was surrounded by brilliant people, working with some of the biggest companies in the world.

But as I started to stack up bigger responsibilities, the habits that brought me success (perfectionism, being highly detail oriented, and obsessed with impressing people) began to work against meI was constantly worried about the next deadline and went to bed ruminating about what would happen if I made a mistake that could cost me my reputation or my career. 

I had chronic headaches…I had panic attacks…I cried at random times for seemingly no reason. 

But the worst part was feeling that I had so much life to live and so much joy to experience that was blocked because I was so painfully worried about work and what people thought of me.

On the outside, I was successful, but on the inside, I realized I had been living in a burnt out body, operating with a burnt out brain, for YEARS

…and I had no idea what to do about it. 

On a hot summer day in 2019, after a particularly bad day in the office, I decided I was going to learn everything I could about healing my internal world so that burnout would no longer be a part of my success equation. 

Over the next few years, I spent hundreds of hours studying healing modalities and putting in the work on myself

...and my world began to change.

I got a raise, I got a new job, I started a business of my own, but most importantly…I learned how to build a life that feels full, joyful, and purposeful amidst a 9-5. 

If my past self could see my life now, she would be shocked to see how good life can get.

Now, in my work as a burnout coach, I’m sharin the love - I use learnings from my own burnout journey and my training as a Certified Life Coach, Somatic Breathwork Facilitator, and Women’s Guidance Facilitator to help my clients build success without the burnout. 

I built Better After Burnout to blend practical systems (priorities, boundaries, communication) with the somatic and energetic work often missing from burnout healing, so change actually sticks.

1.There isn’t just one type of burnout.

Burnout isn’t just about working long hours. Burnout is more nuanced than that. Instead, we choose to operate based on a definition of burnout that accounts for the nuance of the workplace and the full spectrum of human experience. (The 7 Burnout Types). 

2. What got you to where you are now won’t get you to where you want to go.

We honor the version of you who got you to where you are now, but recognize that the perfectionist, control-freak, detail-oriented-to-a-fault, highly-self-critical version of you will never give you fulfillment. You have to choose to evolve to step into your next level self

3. Your life (and your worth) is more than your job. 

Your job may be where you spend a lot of time, but it shouldn't be your only source of worthiness or fulfillment. You are meant to live a full life, with enough capacity to give love and care to yourself, your hobbies, friends, family, and whatever else you deem important.
